Rifle deer hunts take place October 28-31. A limited number of hunters are taken on our private ranches to maintain quality mule deer from year to year. We are hunting rolling sagebrush country with some irrigated pastures. Mule deer bucks can be glassed from 4x4s on vantage points, and then a final stalk can be made to get you within rifle range. Glassing 10 to 20 bucks a day is common. Bucks harvested an average of 140-150 on these hunts, with some bucks making 170. Success rates average 90% with 100% shot opportunity. This is an easy hunt that almost anyone, young or old, can do. We hunt in Region Y. Tags can be drawn with 1 point.
